This summer, Henry J. Austin Health Center (HJAHC) received a special donation that demonstrated how one thoughtful idea can grow into a meaningful act of service.
Miss Ananya Madhurakavi set out to assemble personal care packages for people in need. With support from her family, who helped organize the project and gather supplies, Ananya remained the driving force behind the effort. Her work ultimately resulted in the donation of 407 personal care packages to HJAHC!
Ananya’s family learned about Henry J. Austin Health Center through family friend, Mrs. Maryann Crawley, a member of our HJAHC’s Board of Directors. After learning more about the Health Center’s work in the community, the family felt HJAHC would be an ideal place for Ananya’s donation to reach people who could benefit from the supplies.
Acts of kindness like Ananya’s reflect the power of community members caring for one another. Personal care essentials can make a meaningful difference for individuals and families, and her donation is a wonderful reminder that giving back can begin at any age.
