Henry J. Austin Health Center Welcomes Charles L. Davis, II as CEO

Trenton, NJ – May 21, 2024 – Henry J. Austin Health Center (HJAHC) announces the appointment of Charles L. Davis, II as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective May 6.  

Davis brings a decade of experience in healthcare administration and a strong commitment to community service to his new role at HJAHC. 

Davis served as Chairman of the Board of Directors at HJAHC from 2014 to 2024, where he played a pivotal role in guiding the organization’s growth and success. Under his leadership, HJAHC achieved significant milestones, including over $12 million in infrastructure investments, doubling annual budget revenue to $33 million, and implementing a “livable wage” policy. His strategic vision and dedication to operational efficiency have strengthened HJAHC’s position as a community healthcare leader. 

Prior to joining HJAHC, Davis held key roles in Governor Phil Murphy’s administration, focusing on enhancing operations and customer service at the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. He also has a background in social services and higher education, having served at the Mercer County Correctional Center and Fairleigh Dickinson University, respectively.

In his role as CEO, Davis will oversee the strategic direction, daily operations, and continued advancement of HJAHC, ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to the community while fostering a community of innovation and excellence.
