Interim Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Cherry initially came to Henry J. Austin Health Center (HJAHC) and assumed the role of Director of Operations. After serving in that capacity for three years Mr. Cherry took a position with the City of Trenton, NJ as a cabinet member for the Mayor. He led the largest municipal department during the Mayor’s administration. Mr. Cherry returned to HJAHC following his service with the City. Shortly after his return he assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer and has served in that capacity for two years. His experience as the Director of both the Department of Public Works and Director of the Department of Recreation Natural Resources and Culture with Trenton provided him with an outstanding foundation for his work as Chief Operating Officier for HJAHC. His love for and dedication to the residents of Trenton and the surrounding areas is what drives his commitment to HJAHC and the work of the organization. He has received recognition as Administrator of the year, Who’s Who amongst American Junior Colleges, Summa Cum Laude, and Outstanding Manager. He is on several Commissions and Boards in community.
