PROJECT HOPE Research Assistant VISTA
Arza Imtiaz Uddin serves as a dedicated VISTA Research Assistant at HJAHC. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Health at William Paterson University, Arza also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health. Originally from Los Angeles, California, she now calls New Jersey home with her family.
Arza’s extensive background includes impactful research internships with The Chicago Center for HIV Elimination and Columbia University. She played a pivotal role in projects such as the “Neighborhood and Network Characteristics study (N2)” and “Community Network-Driven COVID-19 Testing and Vaccination Among Vulnerable Populations in the Central U.S. (C3).” In October 2023, Arza joined HJAHC as a VISTA Research Assistant, actively contributing to Project HOPE under the guidance of Dr. Rebecca Klege.
Beyond her research pursuits, Arza is a licensed cosmetologist who previously owned a successful nail salon in California. During her leisure time, she indulges in her love for literature, offers professional nail and eyelash extension services, and enjoys quality moments with her family. Arza’s multifaceted experiences and steadfast commitment to public health underscore her as a valuable asset to the HJAHC team.
