Patient Access Director
Dwight W. Collins was born in Amityville, NY, on June 5, 1980. Dwight W. Collins went to Copiague High School where is he played Basketball, Wrestled, and ran Cross Country. Dwight graduated in June of 1999 and was signed for the United States Army prior to graduation. Dwight left for Basic Training at Fort Jackson, SC in August of 1999 and became a Stevedore (Heavy Equipment Operator) for his first two-year enlistment. Dwight got out of the Army in August of 2001 after his first two-year contract.
Dwight came back into the military and reclassified to Patient Administration in 2005 where he worked and managed health care administration divisions within the military hospitals for 10 years. Dwight finished his Bachelors in Science of Health Care Administration in June of 2015 and then came off of active duty to join the Army Reserves to finish his Masters in the Science of Health Care Administration and Direct Commission to a Health Services Administration Officer for the Army. Dwight finished his Masters in January of 2016 and was Commissioned in May 2019.
Dwight managed for the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ, and Phoenix Health Care Center, Winn Army Community Hospitals as the Patient Administration Manager, Navy Health Clinic, Charleston, SC, Samaritan Hospice and Health Care, and currently is stationed at Fort Dix, NJ, U.S. Army Reserves. Dwight was hired back on an Adjunct Instructor online for his Alma Mater Grand Canyon University to teach Health Care Administration Capstones and Research and Communication Courses to Undergraduates.
Dwight has been to Germany in support of Ukraine mission, South Korea, supported the OIF/OEF wars by managing the Patient Tracking/ Air Evacuations Department for all injured Soldiers returning home for care from battle injuries and civilians while at Fort Lewis, WA Madigan Army Medical Center. Dwight is married to Lynn Mari J. Collins and has 3 beautiful children Dwight 19, Dominick 12 and Danielle 6.
