Marzo es el Mes Nacional del C\u00e1ncer Colorrectal y queremos que conozca los datos importantes sobre este c\u00e1ncer. La gran noticia es que el c\u00e1ncer colorrectal se puede prevenir y la detecci\u00f3n temprana puede salvar y mejorar su vida.<\/p>\n<p>C\u00e1ncer colorrectal: Se produce en el colon o en el recto. El colon es el intestino grueso o intestino grueso. Cuando el c\u00e1ncer colorrectal se detecta a tiempo, el tratamiento puede ser muy eficaz. De hecho, la tasa de supervivencia a cinco a\u00f1os del c\u00e1ncer colorrectal es superior al 90% cuando se detecta de forma temprana, seg\u00fan la Sociedad Americana del C\u00e1ncer.<\/p>\n<p>Lo que puedes hacer:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Las pruebas deben comenzar a los 45 a\u00f1os si se tiene un riesgo medio de c\u00e1ncer colorrectal.<\/li>\n<li>Si tiene un riesgo elevado, acuda a su m\u00e9dico y h\u00e1gase las pruebas de detecci\u00f3n del c\u00e1ncer colorrectal.<\/li>\n<li>Existen varias opciones de cribado. Pida cita y hable con su m\u00e9dico sobre la opci\u00f3n m\u00e1s adecuada para usted.<\/li>\n<li>No espere a tener s\u00edntomas para hacerse un chequeo: los p\u00f3lipos precancerosos y el c\u00e1ncer colorrectal no siempre provocan s\u00edntomas, sobre todo al principio.<\/li>\n<li>Aunque no tenga antecedentes familiares, debe someterse a las pruebas de detecci\u00f3n del c\u00e1ncer colorrectal. La mayor\u00eda de los c\u00e1nceres colorrectales se producen en personas sin antecedentes familiares de la enfermedad.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>En 2018, la Sociedad Americana del C\u00e1ncer rebaj\u00f3 la edad recomendada para empezar a hacerse las pruebas de detecci\u00f3n del c\u00e1ncer colorrectal porque los estudios muestran que las tasas de este tipo de c\u00e1ncer entre los menores de 50 a\u00f1os van en aumento.
