El centro de salud Henry J. Austin Health Center (HJAHC) est\u00e1 ubicado en Trenton, Nueva Jersey. Establecido en 1969 como el Neighborhood Health Center de Trenton (Centro M\u00e9dico del Barrio de Trenton), HJAHC se constituy\u00f3 en 1986 como una entidad 501(c)(3) privada sin fines de lucro.<\/h4>\n

Qui\u00e9nes somos como organizaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 impregnado de la historia de nuestra ciudad y el legado del Dr. Henry J. Austin y nos sentimos honrados de llevar el nombre. El Dr. Austin, un afroamericano y residente de Princeton, vino a Trenton para practicar la medicina porque las leyes de Jim Crow lo prohib\u00edan en su propia ciudad natal. El Dr. Austin naci\u00f3 el 23 de febrero de 1888 en Tallahassee, Florida y fue llevado a Princeton cuando era ni\u00f1o. Asisti\u00f3 a la Escuela de Medicina de la Universidad de Howard y se gradu\u00f3 en 1918 y complet\u00f3 su pasant\u00eda en el Hospital Freeman (ahora Howard University Hospital) en Washington, D.C. Algunos historiadores le dan cr\u00e9dito al Dr. Austin por ayudar a integrar las escuelas de Trenton.<\/span><\/p>\n
