Under the general direction and supervision of the Chief Medical Officer performs the functions of the Programs and Research Coordinator.  With a focus on detail and accuracy, the Programs and Research Coordinator will assist with data collection, documentation, tracking, communication and support in all areas of the HJAHC Programs and Research.

  • Works cooperatively with all employees to carry out the goals and objectives of HJAHC, according to the established policies and procedures and current initiatives
  • Works closely with Chief Medical Officer and Director of Quality Improvement to establish priorities in duties/responsibilities
  • Manages data collection and entry into the program specific databases for data tracking and monitoring
  • Convenes and organizes the Steering Committees for programs and ensures Steering Committee initiatives are enacted
  • Manages logistics for Centering Groups including scheduling, ordering supplies, patient enrollment and retention
  • Co-Facilitates Group
  • Monitors quality indicators to ensure fidelity to the Centering model
  • Compiles and submits annual Approval reports and organizes staff performance reviews and training
  • Assists with completion of program-related continuous improvement initiatives and projects as necessary
  • Spearheads the design and implementation of research projects including retrospective data review and prospective study designs
  • Coordinates and administers research study activities; including project planning, submission to Institutional Review Board, data mining, analysis and reporting
  • Aid in the creation of research papers and submission for publication to various sources.
  • Performs all related work as required.


  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Health or related degree preferred.  Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Experience with data management and word processing.
  • Experience in program management preferred
  • Experience coordinating research activities
  • Experience conducting literature reviews and creating research summaries for publication submission


  • Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to learn and adhere to program structure   
  • At least 6 months-1 year experience in project or program coordination
